1. Conceptual Recap
Verbs (Action Words)
A verb is a word that shows an action or tells what someone or something is doing.
Examples of Verbs
-
run
-
jump
-
eat
-
play
-
read
In a sentence, the verb tells the action:
-
The boy runs.
-
She is eating.
-
They play in the park.
-
I read a book.
Without a verb, a sentence is not complete because we do not know the action.
Remember
👉 Verb = action word
It tells what someone or something does.
