Summary – Verbs
A verb is an action word.
It tells what a person, animal, or thing does in a sentence.
Examples of verbs are run, jump, eat, play, and read.
In sentences like “The boy runs” or “She is eating,” the verb shows the action.
Every complete sentence needs a verb to tell what is happening.

Verb = action word that shows doing.
