1. Summary
In this week, we learned about adjectives, which are describing words.
Adjectives tell us more about a noun, such as its color, size, number, or feeling.
Examples:
-
a red apple
-
a big dog
-
a happy child
Adjectives can come before a noun (a blue ball) or after is/are (The ball is blue).
We also revised:
-
Nouns – naming words
-
Verbs – action words
-
Adjectives – describing words
By the end of the week, students practiced finding adjectives in sentences and writing their own descriptive sentences.
Adjectives make our sentences clear, colorful, and interesting.
